One day I woke up and realized I owned too many books.
Impossible. Or, at least, that's what I would have thought, until I looked over at my overflowing bookshelves (a serious problem when you're apartment's the size of a closet) and finally admitted that I had run out of space. There was no more room for my books anywhere in my room -- not on my nightstand, not on my dresser, not even on my kitchen table. Hell, however, would have to freeze over before I gave up this obsession of mine.
And so I decided to do something useful. Not only was I going to read all of my books, but I was going to blog about them.
Finding time to read isn't always easy, especially as a college student in the city. But where there is a will, there is a way; and what better place to take advantage of reading than this great city of New York. Thus, with this blog, I've made myself a promise. I will become a literary addict.
So, how does this blog work? Pretty simply, actually. It's a glorified literary diary, my way of tracking what and how I read in New York. The best coffee shops to read in: I'm going to find them. The best hole-in-the-wall booksellers: I'm going to find them too. Book events, poetry readings, reviews, and random musings -- their all fair game here. So sit back and enjoy the ride as I promise to leave no page unturned in this city.
